Dedicated kite-surf riders looking to shine, look no further than the new 2019 Duotone NEO! A high-performance purebred wave-riding kite with incredible handling and excellent drifting capabilities that can also perform for freeriding and foiling. If you like nothing better than carving smooth bottom turns and smashing off the lips, then we’ve got you covered. Now with improved handling, thanks to the special Flex Segment integrated into the leading edge, the kite has increased responsiveness for a more dynamic ride. Developed by Ken Winner alongside our pro wave riders and World Champions Airton Cozzolino, Matchu Lopes, Sebastian Ribeiro, and Patri McLaughlin, the 2019 NEO is the kite of choice on the GKA Strapless World Tour.
For 2019, we wanted to ensure that the NEO never loses its central purpose. As the go-to surf kite for top level and hardcore wave riders, we looked for qualities that could be improved upon and then started the straightforward process of design, build, test, design, build test.
- The Leading Edge arc is flatter in the middle which gives better resistance to back stall
- LE segments are longer which moves bridle anchor points out and down, for a more surf-oriented feel and performance
- The above changes have permitted us to go a little bigger in the LE and deeper in the canopy profile for more grunt, more continuous power in turns and better drift.
- The 2018 NEO had a little hiccup in the turns when being yanked around hard in a good breeze.

IN A NUTSHELL The NEO is a dedicated wave kite with lots of performance features. Some of the qualities that make it a pure wave kite, also make it a great performer in other aspects such as freeriding and strapless freestyle. It’s stable, predictable and powerful, with easy relaunch and a really good bar feel.
